When Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield were alerted to paparazzi lurking outside the restaurant they were dining in the other day, they decided to use the attention to highlight some wonderful causes. With paparazzi attention a daily way of life for these two actors, it’s wonderful to see them turning the tables on the cameras and creatively using them to promote causes that are charitable and extremely worthwhile.

As the two exited the restaurant, they were captured holding take out paper bags with a message written in black magic marker. On Stone’s: ”We just found out that there were paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in. So … why not take this”  and continuing on Garfield’s, “opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it www.WWO.org www.gildasclubnyc.org Have a great day!”

The two charities the actors chose to promote are the Worldwide Orphans Foundation and Gilda’s Club of New York. WWO is a foundation Garfield is very involved in which works to improve the lives of orphaned children worldwide through healthcare and education. Gilda’s Club was established to honor the legacy of legendary SNL actress Gilda Radner (who passed away from ovarian cancer in 1989) and provide anyone whose lives are affected by cancer with a community of love and support.

That’s fantastic! Emma (Emily as we knew her) was a schoolmate of my daughter’s. Yes she was the girl who got the lead in all the plays during elementary school! So happy to see her success!
